Edge of Darkness
Cascades in the Sea

Edge of Darkness

The air is still and cool,
the rythm of the night has taken me to the edge of the sea.
The sea, calm and tranquil, extends
even,
flat,
dark,
until it reaches your edges.
Your edges that beam with lights against the night sky,
a beacon in a starry sea,
your hills beaming with lights.
The reflections an endles waterfall of yellows and whites,
a cascade extending to the depths of the sea,
extending to reach me as I watch
on the sand at the edge of the sea.

Cascades in the Sea

I’ve seen the darkness,
and was mesmerized, too some
steps towards it,
one foot after the other.
My eyes closed,
it pulled me closer.
In a moment with my eyes open,
I saw darkness
and then I knew
